Saylight doesn’t save audio files or a transcript archive. Your last transcript is available for recovery until you quit.
Use the app without signing in. There are no ads or usage analytics.
Saylight temporarily uses the clipboard to insert text, then restores its previous contents unless you’ve copied something new.
How it works
Click where you want to write, such as an email or message.
Use the fn/Globe key, or choose your own shortcut in Settings.
Saylight transcribes the recording and types the result where you clicked.
Features
Press fn + Space to start, and again to stop. Press Escape to cancel. Record for up to two minutes at a time.
Say “comma,” “new paragraph,” or “bullet” to format your text. Smart cleanup also removes fillers like “um” and “uh.”
Add names, product terms, and acronyms to your personal dictionary. Set the exact spelling and correct common mishearings.
If text doesn’t appear, use Copy or Paste Last Transcript from the menu bar. You can also copy the original if cleanup changed it.
